The Location Permission Trap: On Android and iOS, the app requires "Location Services / Precise Location" permissions to be enabled alongside Bluetooth. Why? The OS groups Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) scanning under location privacy. Go to your phone's Settings -> Scent Tech -> Enable Bluetooth & Location (Always or While Using).
Distance Check: Bluetooth LE has an effective pairing range of under 15 feet (5 meters). Move closer to the machine during the initial sync.
